Varieties we offer:
Akiva Serviceberry - Seed sourced from Akiva Silver of Twisted Tree Farm. Likely Amelanchier canadensis.
Sheffield’s ‘Lamarckii’ - Seed sourced from Sheffield’s Seed Co. Amelanchier is a genetically diverse genus with conflicting taxonomic approaches. Some consider ‘Lamarckii’ its own species while others consider it a naturally occurring hybrid of A. laevis x either A. arborea or A. canadensis. Taxonomic confusion aside, expect a large shrub of 15-25 ft that produces white showy flowers in abundance in early spring followed by eye-catching, sweet and edible fruits that ripen in late-June and early-July. Beautiful ornamental large shrub/small tree sure to be appreciated by native pollinators and wildlife.
