Alex is at the farm full-time and the primary farmer at BOB. Despite promising Audrey he would never farm, they both finally accepted his fate when he realized that farming was the best way to combine his passion for land management with his desire to collaborate professionally with kingdoms Animalia, Plantae, and Fungi. His approach to farming is influenced by his academic background in conservation biology and food systems sustainability. He holds a B.A. in Environmental Science & Art from Goshen College and an M.S. in Agriculture, Food & Environment with a concentration in GIS and spatial analysis from Tufts University. When not working around the farm, Alex is most likely to be found in the ceramics studio, on a mountain bike trail, or fishing a local stream. He is also an avid IU Basketball and Liverpool FC fan.
